                             Bike Riding

I went on a bike track from Okaihau to Kaikohe. 
It was really cool I loved it. 

My favourite part was when we went in the tunnel. It was dark and I felt a bit scared but I was lucky that I had a torch!  

We had to go on two bridges. I liked the bit when we went down a steep hill and came right back. The down hills were good too, they made me go really fast. The up hills were hard they made me hot!!!

Cheeky baboons slipped down umbrella poles and stole peoples food.

 At night hedgehogs scurried around all over the place!

We had to turn the fridge over or the monkeys will eat all the food.

Jump Jam

 Why not have Jump Jam? It's one of  the best things we do!!!


Firstly Jump Jam get's you in a great mood for school. This is because you have been dancing all morning!!!


Also Jump Jam makes you really fit because of all the cool moves you have been doing.


I like Jump Jam because we learn heaps of new things!!!

More Play Time!!!

Yes, Yes, Yes. We should have more play time!

My first point is, that I get tired from work at school. I think the other kids get tired from school work to.

Secondly I run around and get fit at play time so do the other kids! 

finally my friends and I have fun at play time and will not fuss and look fowerd to going to school!

So tell your teacher to give the the kids more play time and don't let them say no!!!

In the holidays my cousin came to stay for three days. At last they were here it was past lunch time. First we played piggy in the middle. The next day we went fishing in Mangonui my cousin Maya had to share a fishing rod with me. We put the fishing line in the water. A fish tugged on the line state away! But the fish broke the fishing line. It was my cousin tom's turn he got a circle thing he dropped the line in the water he got nothing. We had to go home. So we went back. We came back the next day. We went to a different spot. The fish crept steeling the bate I court a bit of seaweed. The day after that we went fishing on the rocks in cable bay my line got stuck on a rock then it was time for my cousin to go home. My cousins and me enjoyed being together.

Rubbish

Rubbish smells like dead fish that pollutes the sea because of all the rotten things.

Rubbish looks like dead birds scattered all over the ground because of all of the garbage that they tried to eat.

Rubbish feels like spikes from a hedgehog because of all the sharp corners.

 Rubbish tastes like rotten eggs because of all of  the fruit skins.

Rubbish sounds like cans being slapped together because of all the noisy cans.

Mauna Loa

Mauna Loa is the one of the biggest volcanoes on earth. Mauna Loa is 600,000-1,000,000 years old.

            I'm going to win cross country!
 I have to run one kilometre.
          It was raining and the track was muddy it                 was almost flooding.
finally it was my race!
           READY STEADY GO!
I was last but wait I past Lara then Leah and most of my other friends!

                      but I just can't pass my friend Eva from                  Kaingaroa school.
YAY I PASSED THE FINSH LINE I  CAME 11th!!! I was just one away from the top ten!!!

OOPS

oops I spilled a little bit of hot water! I wasn't supposed to do that! it doesn't matter it was just a little bit.

But still it managed to sneak off the table and burn Caitlin's little toe she said ouch ouch ouch  and she kicked the table over all the things went flying into the air!!! and the glass's went SMASH on to the ground oops we need to start again said Caitlin doesn't matter I already did something wrong. so we started again but then Lara put cold water in both glass's so when Te Awa put the glass on top of the other glass nothing happened. so we started again. then I put juice in the glass instead water  it did not work we are bad scientists!

Real success

Mr A and our class did an experiment.

 We had to make a water  that had one layer red one layer blue. the red is hot and the blue was cold the hot water is more dense.

 But since the cold water is not as dense as the hot water the cold water slips up and push's  so the hot water go's up with it to! 

and then we are done!

How to make a rock that is not rock

The things that you will need for this experiment are...

1. A  teaspoon

2. A sieve 

3.  A bowl

4.  A paper towel

5. Vinegar

6. Low fat milk
7. A cup

First  heat up the milk in the microwave.

Next you put 2 teaspoons of vinegar into the milk.

Then you stir the milk non stop. You will find a gooey kind of thing in the cup.

Pour it in the sieve to get the water out.

After that you put the gooey thing (it's called casein) on to the paper towel. Fold the paper towel and squish it and then fold it again.

Take the gooey stuff out and let it dry for 2 days.

After that you are done! 

DO NOT EAT THE MIXTURE!!!!!!!

fruity science

To Lola,

We dehydrated fruit! 

First we put layers of fruit on to the dehydrating machine.  
 After a few days we ate the fruit I hated everything.

 

After we ate all the dehydrated fruit we did a test.

 We got blind folded we had to put a random food in our mouth.
 We either eat potato apple or green apple.
 I did not do the test it looked yuk.
My friend Lara was the only one who did think that the potato was green apple.

After the test I wanted some green apple so I picked a little bit up but it was potato!

syrup science

       We were doing a science!

        First we poured golden syrup into a glass.

        Next we dripped oil on top of the syrup.

        Then we put water on the top of the colored           water.

        Finally we sprinkled salt in to the glass.

       The syrup was the most dense!

       The bubbles of oil shot up like a bird and that         is why you need to be careful with oil.

Science Experiment Week one

First we poured standard milk in to a plate and then squirted food colouring into a spoon and dropped it in to the milk. All the food colouring slipped to the other side of the plate. the first one looked like a big lollypop. The other one looked like earth.

I flipped and splashed though the beautiful blue water. I wanted some fish so I went down down down into nice clear water I felt like I was going to cach 100 fish that day.

Camp

Coopers beach camp

At camp there was a slippery water slide. I waited in a very long line. Finally it was my turn. It was very steep. I did not want to go. I watched the other kids go down the slide, but I still  did not want to go. In five minutes Miss V said if I go she will go so I went down. Weeeeeeeeeee I closed my eyes!

Hanging on to a bar is hard.My hands are burning I advised to myself to keep on going. Broken record!  I swung all the way to end.  I felt over-joyed. I imagined that I appeared a bit like a bird on a delicate branch for a second.

Waitangi Visit

Nothing Happens!

Nothing ever happens at my house.
